Facebook Promotion Metrics
For Facebook promotion in Nigeria, choose the metric that matches the destination. Followers apply to a Page or profile. Reactions and comments apply to a selected post. Views apply to video content. None of these automatically produces enquiries, purchases or loyal customers, so start with the business goal and work backwards.
Boostrify's current Nigerian Facebook catalogue includes separately labelled options. The Facebook followers guide, for example, states that followers are different from post reactions, Page likes, group membership and messages. Check the live service description instead of treating every Facebook number as the same product.
Prepare the Page before buying attention
A promotion campaign should lead to a Page that helps a visitor make a decision. Check the Page name, category, location, opening hours, contact information and cover image. Add or update the action button so it leads to the right next step, such as a call, message, booking or website visit where available.
Review the Page as a visitor. Can someone understand what the business sells, where it operates and how to buy? If the last post is months old or the advertised phone number no longer works, fix those problems before spending on promotion.
Followers: build the visible Page audience
A follower service concerns the Page or profile audience count. It is the closest match when the campaign goal is about the Page rather than one post. It does not include reactions on a product announcement, comments on an event post or views on a video.
Use the exact Page or profile link required by the listing. Confirm whether the service is labelled Nigerian or international. Paying in naira does not determine the audience location. Do not describe followers as customers, active community members or buyers unless the selected listing explicitly supports that wording.
Organic Page growth still matters. Facebook provides a feature for inviting friends to like or follow a Page. Use it selectively with people who may genuinely care about the business rather than sending irrelevant invitations to everyone.
Reactions: visible response to one post
Reactions apply to a specific post. They can fit a campaign where the selected announcement, offer or event post is the centre of attention. They do not increase the follower count and should not be reported as customer interest without other evidence.
Choose a post that contains the complete, current information. If the post promotes a restaurant menu, it should state the location, ordering route and availability. If it promotes an event, confirm the date, venue, ticket route and organiser contact before promotion.
Comments: conversation on selected content
Boostrify's Nigerian Facebook comments guide says the listed action concerns comments on public Facebook content, not business reviews, ratings or private replies. That distinction matters because a comment service should never be presented as verified customer feedback.
Check whether the chosen listing supplies wording or requires custom text. Never submit misleading claims, fabricated experiences or sensitive customer information. Prepare accurate answers for real questions that may appear after the post receives attention.
Views: exposure for a video or Reel
Views relate to video content. They may be the closest visible metric when the business is demonstrating a process, showing a venue or explaining a service. A view does not prove that the person watched to the end, clicked a link or contacted the business.
Facebook has been consolidating video discovery around Reels. Whatever format the Page uses, confirm that the service accepts the exact public video or Reel link before ordering. Do not submit the Page link when the listing expects the video permalink.
Compare the four metrics
| Business need | Closest metric | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Increase the visible Page audience | Followers | Customer quality or sales |
| Add visible response to one announcement | Reactions | Purchase intent |
| Add written discussion to a public post | Comments | Authentic reviews or private enquiries |
| Increase the displayed count on a video | Views | Completion, clicks or retention |
Use a simple decision process
- Name the business outcome. Decide whether you need Page awareness, post engagement, video exposure or enquiries.
- Choose the destination. Select the Page, post or video that contains the complete and current information.
- Match the metric. Choose followers, reactions, comments or views based on that destination.
- Check the live listing. Verify the audience label, accepted link, quantity limits, price, delivery and refill terms.
- Track business results separately. Record messages, calls, website visits, bookings and purchases where possible.
Example for a local bakery
Imagine a bakery in Abuja introducing weekend cake boxes. This is a hypothetical example. The Page is updated with the correct address and order number. The main post shows the box, price, order deadline and collection options. A short video shows the packaging process.
If the owner wants visible activity on the offer post, reactions or comments may be closer to the brief than followers. If the video is the main campaign asset, a compatible view service may be closer. The bakery should still measure actual messages and paid orders independently.
Ordering checks that prevent mistakes
Open the target link in a private browser window and confirm it is public. Read the selected service description completely. Boostrify's terms say not to place duplicate orders for the same link before an existing order is complete, not to change links or IDs while an order is active, and not to assume permanence.
Save the service name, quantity, charge, link and order ID. Start time is not the same as completion time. If a listing promises a quick start, do not translate that into a guarantee that the full order will finish immediately.
Measure the Page, content and customer response
People with suitable Facebook Page access can use Page, post and ad insights to review performance. Compare those metrics with the business's own enquiry or sales records. A post can receive reactions without producing orders, while a smaller post may bring several qualified enquiries.
Visit the Boostrify service catalogue only after the Page and campaign destination are ready. Compare the live options, read the current terms and choose the smallest sensible eligible quantity for a test you can measure.
